About Our Founder

Dr. Lin Yu-Ming, the founder of YC Biotech Co., Ltd., is both an accomplished medical expert with extensive clinical experience, and a successful biotech entrepreneur. His mission—to improve human health and quality of life—is the cornerstone of his dedication to develop and promote innovative biotechnology products.
In recent years, Taiwan has become an aging society, and thus chronic diseases are now a pressing health issue for the Taiwanese people. To raise awareness and improve the prevention of chronic diseases among the general public and medical professionals, our founder, along with several frontline clinical physicians, co-founded the Taiwan Chronic Disease Health Care Association (TCDHA). Participants included physicians from primary care clinics and professionals from medical centers all across Taiwan. Members included pediatrician Dr. Guo Jian-Hong, nephrologist Dr. Li Yue-Qian, ophthalmologist Dr. Li Bing-Xun, Dr. Chen Ying-Jun, Dr. Hong Wen-Hong, and Dr. Tuan Mao-Wei.
This diverse composition of specialties enables the association to effectively promote accurate knowledge for prevention and treatment of chronic diseases among the public while also enhancing general awareness and capabilities in chronic disease management. As the chairman of the association, he actively participates in various activities and initiatives, engages in international medical seminars, and hopes to improve and enhance the health and quality of life of chronic disease patients in Taiwan.
As both a frontline clinical physician and chairman of TCDHA, our founder discovered a major real-life challenge that many physicians and medical institutions encounter: the lack of a one-stop solution. In practice, this means biotech companies cannot immediately obtain access to clinical resources, while clinical physicians cannot be quickly and adequately informed of the latest breakthroughs in biotechnology, resulting in an information gap that prevents patients from receiving effective treatment in a timely manner. Additionally, biotech companies are unable to effectively integrate the upstream and downstream supply chains, leading to issues such as delays in development and manufacturing.
In light of these challenges, in 2019, our founder invited several friends in the medical field, including Dr. Huang Meng-Kai, Dr. Li Yue-Qian, Dr. Chen Ying-Jun, Dr. Lu Chao-En, Dr. Weng Jian-Rui, along with teams from medical centers in Taipei, medical institutions from other regions of Taiwan, as well as professionals from non-medical backgrounds, including lawyers and accountants, to join in founding YC Biotech.
They aimed to create the most comprehensive supply chain system in the biotech industry and establish a new business model, aiming for great progress in the field biomedicine. Due to the pandemic in 2019, preparations were forced to be extended, but this setback also gave YC Biotech additional opportunities to prepare, allowing us to fully optimize our software and hardware. Thus, when the pandemic began to ease in 2023, YC biotech was officially established, dedicated to the progress of the global biotech industry and, hopefully, the betterment of humanity!
